***IN HIS OWN WORDS*** Governor Deal says that if he is reelected everything regarding public education will be on the table. He says he will appoint a panel to review funding, teacher pay, and a statewide charter school district (for more on the charter schools, see this: ajc/news/news/state-regional/gov-deals-new-plan-to-expand-charter-schools/nhKT3/) So, does anyone here trust a Deal-appointed commission to reshape public schools in Georgia? Anyone think we should be modeling a charter school model after Louisiana or Florida?!!! Those systems are mired in ethics problems and other issues! Any educators notice how hard they are making it to achieve the highest ratings in the new teacher evaluations? Anyone wanna bet that they are setting us up to tie our new TKES system to merit pay? #Weknownathan had a plan for fixing our SHBP.... do we want him to be able to shape the next generation for Georgia public schools?
