IN LOVING MEMORY OF GRANDMOM, “FATIMA KHOKHAR”. One thing I can say about my Pakistani Family is their love and devotion for each other. A quality that I LOVE!! I was welcomed, accepted and loved unconditionally from the start. Grandmom left behind 10 children, 20 grand children and a lot of great grand children. Grandmom was a widow, her husband passed away in his 30s. Dad, Bishop Akbar Khokhar was Moms Son.Grandmom was very proud that her family all served JESUS, despite the cost in Pakistan! Grandmom has lived with Pastor Asghar since he was born. He called her, “Dadi” which is a term of endearment, meaning Mother in Urdu, the National language of Pakistan, Grandmom loved when Pastor Asghar played his keyboard and sang. She was always an inspiration, an encourager, a GREAT Women of Faith! She was the anchor of the Family. She had a great heart for the poor as well, another redeeming Family trait. Grandmom would pray with Pastor Asghar before he went to the Villages, sending him off with lots of hugs and kisses. Her love brought strength to the Family. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her absence has left a great heaviness and emptiness in the hearts of all who knew her. We rejoice that she is worshiping and celebrating with JESUS in Heaven, but in our humanity we feel a tremendous loss. You are GREATLY LOVED and MISSED Grandmom!!! You were an Angel on earth now you are a Heavenly Angel watching over those you love.~
