IN LOVING MEMORY OF MYRLE WILLIAMS - Faced with raising her four children after the sudden death of her young husband in the 1960s, she became a leading Saluda businesswoman. Her Williams Gift Shop was a popular store, next door to Williams Hardware. After her retirement she continued involvement in many community activities, including the Pull-It Festival where she served as treasurer. In her spare time she even worked at putting inserts in papers at the Saluda Standard-Sentinel, where she and Elnora Gunter kept all of us entertained. She was devoted to her church, Saluda County, and most importantly, to her family. She was a great lady, a Saluda institution, who will be greatly missed. R.I.P.
