IN MEMORIAM of our beautiful and dear Alaska Airlines ANC Base Flight Attendant, Kim Scotty Scott who sadly departed us on Saturday October 11, 2014 at the age of ?? in Boise, Idaho from his long battle with cancer and a brain tumor to fly with our Alaska Angels in HEAVEN!! R.I.P. Scotty!! Follow-up message on ANC F/A Kim Scott by ANC F/A Liane Nagata on 9/23/14.... As many of you already know, on Wednesday Aug. 27th Scotty headed home to Boise, ID. He was seated in first class with Rhonda Holstine accompany him the whole way (thank you Susan). After numerous regimens of chemo and radiation for over a year, the doctors discovered his cancer had once again spread when they found a brain tumor. With the many well wishers at the gate, Susan, Tracey and Serenity presented Scotty with his 25 year pin which he proudly placed on the black Scotland cap he was wearing! Scotty was in good spirits, smiling the whole time and ready to go! He has three daughters and one son living in Boise; Rebekah, Esther, Kali, and Ian. Kali will be his main care taker and Scotty will be living in his own apartment (in the same complex as her) and begin hospice care. Grandpa Scotty also has seven grandchildren in Boise anxiously awaiting his arrival. His daughter Leah is still here in Anchorage, and his other son Josiah lives in Texas. Scottys mother, two sisters and brother all reside in California. Scotty is TRULY THANKFUL and appreciative of our ANC base along with the ANC CSAs who helped raise money to make things a little easier for him. That along with all the visits to the hospital and the vacation donation really meant a lot to him. You will find a book in the inflight room for ALL to sign until Sept. 8th, Monday. If you havent had a chance to sign it, please do. Feel free to leave any photos as well. Working at Alaska Airlines was one of the highlights of his life and what an honor to grow up seeing your daddy do something he loves! I will never forget the countless trips I got to go on with him as a little girl, and all the amazing flight attendants and friends of his I was privileged to meet! Thank you for everything you guys have done for him. I know AK airlines is like one big family and it really shows when someone needs help! From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate every minute of help, love and support youve given my dad. If you would like more contact information for the family let me know. Thanks everyone for all you have done to help him though this battle...... As Scotty always said, May The Force Be With You! Liane Nagata 907-250-2457
