IN MEMORY OF ANGEL ZALA: ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE: 2 items at hand: #1: CHALLENGE: Not traditional Challenge that has been going around. I thought it would be a good way to spread the word of another disease that I have been following, along with a couple others. BATTEN DISEASE. We need MORE research/funds & I pray, one day, A CURE. I dont have a child with this disease, but I follow many children that do, and it needs more attention. What better way to bring more attention than with this Ice Bucket Challenge? As well as the other items listed on the boards in my video. #2: NOMINATION: The nomination(s) I requested were for: ALL OF US. If each of us could be a little nicer; wouldnt this world be a better place? So, not the typical nomination, but Im not one to follow the rules. And, when you ask me to do something, I never do it half way. With this being said, Id like to recognize 3 individuals whom have been LONG OVER DO in getting recognition for THEIR KIND ACTS. I would probably not be able to Thank them, if it werent for this Challenge. So, here goes. Kenny Loggins: Back in 1985, you let me sleep on your stage, during a concert. I was only 8 years old. You didnt have to let me take up room on your stage, but you did. THANK YOU. (And, please tell your band Thanks, as well). That showed: KINDNESS. Bruce Springsteen: Back in 1992, on top of Mulholland Drive, you were doing a photo shoot. Only a few people were up there - the sun was just about to set. It was beautiful. My mom and I were driving by - we had just moved to California and were doing some sight seeing. She wanted to shake your hand. You didnt have to let her. But, you did. You only asked we not take pictures. I THANK YOU for that. You made a dream of hers come true. That showed: HUMBLENESS & KINDNESS. Bette Midler: Back in 1996, in my High School Talent Show, the power of your lyrics gave me the strength to get up on stage and over come my fear of singing in front of others. I dont think I couldve done it without the help of your song Wind Beneath My Wings. (Which is the song I sang). You have no idea how powerful your voice and music can be. And, although Ive never met you, YOU gave ME the power to get up in front of the hardest critics in the world (to me, at the time) and get the job done. For that, I THANK YOU. That showed: INSPIRATION. You see, folks, its not always about giving money, receiving autographs or getting pictures with your favorite movie star. Its just about giving - whatever you can give. I have found that every time I help someone, I feel a sense of fulfillment inside. I know I did the right thing. And, it feels good. VERY GOOD. I hope you can find someone or something to help. Then, you will know what I mean........ Thank you to my sons, Russell & Randall, and to our new neighbor, Ogdan, for helping me make this video come to life! I couldnt have done this without your help, boys!!! DEDICATED TO THE FOLLOWING (Stay strong, my friends): Alis Angels, Casens Crusade, Charlees Angels, Sophias Journey, Arianna Esteps Prayer Page, Zichaelas Miracle, Angels For Juliana, Adalia Rose, Dreamcatchers for Abused Children, Stop Animal Abuse, Stop Bullying: Speak Up
