When all else fail or seem distant in our quest for TRUTH about the exposes that brought to public notice the possible plunder of Makati City coffers, to whom do we turn to for us to know the truth? Only GOD can provide us with the answers to the issues that have been raised but denied, attempted to be verified but avoided by the supposed subject of investigation. This is what I define as a circus by opposing parties that almost always are motivated by their own political interests rather than for the good of all. Now that Binay had disregarded the Senates invitation for him to face his accusers, regardless of whether he is afraid to be caught in the mire of his own doings or whether he can match with his own version of truth that which are mud hurled at him and come out clear or clean from it all, the entire countrys future hangs. Why? Because right this very moment, Binay still leads in the surveys and should election be held today, he wins and becomes our president. Although I find Sen. Cayetano too abrasive at times in his handling of his role in the fact-finding job in the Senate, he aptly stated that his and Sen. Trillanes pursuit to continue with the Binay probe is important because it will show a pattern and it will show that if it can be done in Makati, it can also be done in the rest of the country. But Binay does not budge. He employs what to me is a strategy to politicize the issue with the electorate using every possible maneuver he can do emotionally, psychologically, rhetorically, and to certain extent, physical and material or financial maneuvers utilizing every peso he has in his war chest and other sources, in order to secure the sympathy of the masa. What otherwise and is factually the condition obtaining right now is that it is not a political case but simply a case of violation of the anti-corrupt practices law which is a criminal act that is what the fact-finding committee in the Senate is trying to look deeper into. And if it is found that a loophole or kakulangan sa batas has not deterred commission of corrupt practices, then a law should be revised, amended ,or a new one crafted in order to best address the one most important law that our country needs. This is what we understand of in aid of legislation: that our lawmakers should work on. bASIC yan. Ginawang complicated instead of simple issue because election season is in the offing. So, now, quo vadis? wala pa ring katuturan ang lahat unless plunder cases are filed against Binay and family. Binigyan lang ng libreng advance campaign si Binay sa kanyang pagkuha ng simpatiya ng masa sa ginagawa sa kanya ngayon.
