IT SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION • Act as primary contact for administering a software under a Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP environment. • Proactively monitor and fine-tune the responsiveness of various production Linux environments • Interface with internal IT staff, as well as with external vendors, to assist in the implementation and/or troubleshooting of web-related systems and solutions TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Open Source technologies as a Linux Engineer/Administrator, with strong and current knowledge of all aspects of Linux and proven expertise with Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP • 2+ years of experience supporting Content Management Systems, specifically: Drupal. TECHNICAL SKILLS • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in support of web-based environments • Solid experience and knowledge of Internet protocols and standards (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP) • Working knowledge of web servers and application servers (Apache, Tomcat). • Experience with administering Drupal production websites, and associated plug- in modules. • Strong understanding of web technologies (including HTML, XML, PHP). 2.
