Oromo artists have been in the forefront of helping Irreecha grow to become one of the greatest festivals in Africa that it is today. The Irreecha songs of Gaaddisee Shamsadiin (“Beenu”), Galaanee Bulbulaa (“Irreecha Irreeffanaa”), Gomaas Waggaarii (“Yaa Irreessoo”) and Bilisummaa Raggaasa (“Goobee”) are few of the artistic works that have added color and depth to Irreecha. In addition to creating arts, Oromo recording artists also participate in the Irreecha celebrations in Oromia and across the globe as festivalgoers.
