IN THIS SEASON, IT IS EITHER WE ACTIVATE A POWERFUL REVIVAL IN THE GLOBAL CHURCH OR WE FACE A GRIM FUTURE AS A CHURCH. I want you to read an email sent to me by a sister this morning. I believe as a christian, it contains something you should know. From: Bosun Emmanuel Date: Tue, 19 Aug 2014 20:22:32 +0100 To: Subject: Declare State of Emergency in the Church Please find attached a document from Rev. Moses Aransiola to the church. Or, you can access it at the link below: kingdomnewsng/prophecies/105-time-to-declare-state-of-emergency-in-the-church I, respectfully, wish to encourage you to take time and read it and act upon the contents. Subsequently, please, forward it to other Christians that you know. The attached document quoted two statements that set the tone for the present distress in the country. But, before we go on, kindly meditate on this Bible passage: Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Ezekiel 33: 2-5 FOUNDATION OF PRESENT DISTRESS First, this statement credited to the late Sardauna of Sokoto in the Parrot newspaper of 12th October, 1960, 54 years ago: “The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great-grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use the minorities of the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us, and never allow them to have control over their future”. (Parrot Newspaper, 12th Oct. 1960; republished on November 13, 2002, by the Tribune Newspaper, Ibadan.) The second statement was credited to Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram in 2012, “… this [Boko Haram] war is not political. It is religious. It is between Muslims and unbelievers (arna). It will stop when Islamic religion is the determinant in governance in Nigeria or, in the alternative, when all fighters are annihilated and no one is left to continue the fight. I warn all Muslims at this juncture that any Muslim who assists an unbeliever in this war should consider himself dead.” These two statements define the present distress. The activities of ISIS in the Middle East accentuate the dangerous elements of these statements. They should not be ignored. WHAT NEXT? We have acknowledged our transgressions before God. No Christian is in doubt that the door opened for the enemy to rear its head because the church yielded ground to sin, transgression and iniquity. In addition to the prayers of the saints nationwide to God for divine intervention, on 1st August, 2014, we raised a 6-hour altar of praises to God at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, to plead for mercy. We were informed of a situation in 1999 when God instructed a group of ministers of the gospel at a Christian meeting to praise Him for 3 hours. They praised God for 30 minutes! The junior pastors were assigned to praise God while the “big pastors” relaxed in their various chalets. After the transgression, God spoke immediately that as a result of our disobedience (collective guilt), terrorists and tribal uprising will ravage our nation. The moment we heard this on July 24th, 2014, we promised God, we shall give Him 6 hours of praises; 3 hours to pay the arrears and 3 hours as 100% interest. We had earlier intended to do the praises at a different venue. However, on Friday 25th July, while prayers were being said for the assignment, God spoke again that He wanted the praises to be done at the National Theatre. (If you are familiar with the spiritual history of Nigeria, you will understand why God chose National Theatre.) We thank God for His grace and for the brethren that attended at such a short notice. We praised God from 12 noon till 6.05 pm on Friday 1st August, 2014. As we took time to pray and repent on behalf of the nation, (in between the praises), God spoke clearly that He has forgiven us. He promised to send help to us. Therefore, we are confident to face the forces that have risen against the church and against our nation. VICTORY IS A BATTLE Please let us make it clear, because God promised David victory did not mean that David did not need to fight. There is still a war to be fought. Our assurance is that so long as we remain faithful and obedient to God, we shall win. Please, let the people of God not return to vanity and sin. Therefore, as you read the letter to the churches from the respected elder, Rev. Moses Aransiola, mobilize Christians within your sphere of influence to act on its content. WHAT SHALL BE SAID OF OUR GENERATION? Let us make this clear: Any generation in which the men are not willing to fight, that generation will go into captivity. Their children and their wives will go into captivity and the land itself shall go into bondage. Shall this be said of us? 14 They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. Ezekiel 7: 14 God forbid! IT IS TIME TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY IN THE NIGERIAN CHURCH! Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered … Ps. 68: 1 Your brother, Bosun
