INBOX Will give you back both breath and life, because you now disregard yourselves for the sake of his law. – 2 Maccabees 7:23 One time, I was waiting for important messages on my cell phone, but my inbox was full. The problem with a full inbox is that you can’t receive any more incoming messages. So I hurriedly erased a lot of messages. After a while, a deluge of messages came in. After reading them, I was so frustrated because I could have responded immediately or availed of opportunities had I received those messages earlier. Lesson learned: you have to empty yourself first before you can have your fill again. Do you feel empty? Perhaps it’s because you are full — full of your former ways of thinking, your frustrations, your sins, your hurts and bad habits. I have a suggestion. Why don’t you let go of them so you can be open for what can come after? Let go of your past in exchange for your possibilities. Let go of what is good in place of what is better. It’s only when we empty ourselves that we will understand how greatly and how desperately we need God to enter our lives. Let your life be filled up by your giving up! How’s your inbox lately?
