INCENDIO December happenings - last gig o the year, plus solo appearances, new clips and other shtuff - - As you can see, this is a busy December for us! Were getting lotsa things ready for 2015. There is a VERY rare non-Incendio show with Jim Stubblefield (as Luis Villegas special guest) this coming Sunday December 21st. And Liza and JP playing with some pals on Saturday December 20th. First, here are the upcoming full band Incendio shows, including the last 2014 show live in San Juan Capistrano - we first played this venue earlier this fall and its lovely . . . 12/27/14 (Sat) 19 Sports Bar and Grill, San Juan Capistrano (right after Christmas - bring out the family - tickets are $20) 1/2/15 (Fri) Coffee Gallery, Altadena, CA - JP Birthday show! Plus the following solo shows: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Saturday December 20th, Carbe-Durand will appear as part of the All-Star Christmas Show at the Coffee Gallery. THIS IS AN EARLY MATINEE SHOW AT 2pm! We will perform a few songs and perhaps jam a bit with our friends, the fabulous singer Duane Thorin, the multi-talented Licata Brothers (who have graced Incendio shows with their music in the past), as well as the duo of Pam Loe and Chad Watson. There will be a Peruvian food provided by the Licatas mom Juliana, but feel free to bring whatever else youd like for the potluck! Food served at 1:30pm. Luis is a tremendous guitar player and friend of our band who has an long history of music and live shows - he has various CDs out and is Grammy-nominated as well. Hes going to bring out other great players and performers like Ben Woods, dancer Arleen Hurtado, Chris Trujillo, Mike Paganini, Al Velasquez and other special guests, so it promises to be an amazing holiday event. The show is at Bogies at the Westlake Village Inn at 5pm - sit-down tickets are sold out but there are still some standing-room-only tickets available for $20. The promoter, Dan DeWayne, has been a great friend to this band, inviting us to Worldfest 4 times and having us up at Chico Worldfest a few times as well. He has just announced his retirement from Worldfest and we truly wish him the best. The festival will now be in the capable hands of the folks at the Grass Valley Performing Arts Center. He got to ask studio Tim Pierce a lot of questions - for pretty much our whole band, his work on Toy Matinee with Kevin Gilbert made him a bit of a legend. The info from both David Phillips and Ron Moreno was invaluable and it was obvious that a good time was had by all (and sorry for my mistake on the website which some of you quickly commented on and corrected! - latalkradio). We dont think its the last time youll be hearing Jim on the show with hosts Jeff Floro and Scott Sill. This coming Monday, well play musical chairs at the Flo Guitar Enthusiasts - JP will co-host on a show with Jeff featuring Prescott Niles, former bassist for the Knack, current bassist with Missing Persons. The guy hung out with Hendrix in New York, recorded with George Harrison, and is a tremendous guy and player. Well dig into 80s new wave, skinny-tie pop and even a bit of punk. This will again be at 8pm west coast time - Monday night 12/22 - on latalkradio.
