INCREDIBLE Joey Yap always taking it to the next step.... ancient history where Zen Buddhism started to.....a conceptually modern world. SO fortunate to have been a part of this excursion. Such a difference in the aerial view. Awesome to get a different perspective...a reflection of the entire excursion... Getting A Different Perspective!! I am glad I stuck with it to make this steep hike....so worth it. When we started out, Joey said he was going to go up and if we wanted to join be aware it is difficult and he walks fast. Hmmm, that was a deterrent for me after a night with 3 hours sleep and dehydration as I was unable to find water after I had left mine on the bus. A few hours had past and I felt weak. I was certain I could not make the hike. But I so wanted to go. I started to do the tourist thing and take the tram up another mountain. Then I prayed and asked for a sign whether I should try it and asked the sign to be water. Within minutes water showed up. Vivien and I decided to take it at a reasonable pace and just go as far as we could without the goal to make it to the cave. We ran into two women and stopped to ask them how much further it was. The told Vivien they had been up there for 3 days meditating and praying. This was a message to stay strong and try harder. Unexpectedly, we then ran into another water station. At the 3 water station, we ran into 7 colleagues who either gave up or not sure whether they could get to the top. I had gotten a second wind and the group motivated me to push through and get past the last 70 degree incline and stretch. Vivien and I had the urge to get the others to try to make it. We started up, slow and steady and stopping at the plateaus. Each plateau gave a spectacular view which inspired us to the next one. Without knowing it, we were then told by a local person, we were close! Then we all pushed through and made it to the summit! This day, I felt like I turned 39...again! Vivien Ng and the trek gave me insight what 9 Heavens (my destiny deity) in Qi Men Dun Jia denotes.....the ability envision the end goal, to be strategic, construct a plan toward the goal, inspire others to conduct selves collectively that accomplishes the objective and rely on Chief. It was a moment of enlightenment I got when I went into the cave and meditated. A lesson I will now use with conscious intent and tap into my subconscious mind or the Qi Men.
