INDEPENDENCE BRIDGE CLOSING TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC FOR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AUGUST 16, 2013 – Bay City, MI – Wednesday, August 21 at 7:00 a.m. the Independence Bridge will be placed out of service for scheduled maintenance upgrades. The bridge is expected to reopen to vehicular traffic on Friday, August 23 at 7:00 a.m. The roadway will be closed to vehicular traffic and detours shall be posted. Marine traffic will not be affected.
