INDIA: JP Morgan Brings Clean Water to Village in Thane “Education about water-health and hygiene is important as it will help children understand the importance of clean water and lead a healthy life,” said the Headmaster of Zilla Parishad School, Chowk. Thanks to JP Morgan, an AquaTower and our hygiene education program were deployed at Zilla Parishad Primary School. This school is situated in the interiors of Jawahar Taluka, with most children coming from a background where parents are either farmers or laborers. With the only access to water at the school coming from a well that gets cleaned only once a year, deploying an AquaTower here was a necessity. This AquaTower, sponsored by J.P. Morgan and deployed with the support of BAIF, will bring clean water to over 217 school children and benefit a population of over 833 villagers.
