INDIANAPOLIS--- Gov. Mike Pence is Promoting his Proposals for Increasing Charter Schools and Private School Vouchers in his Third State of the State speech. Democrats say those Increases would come at the Expense of Traditional Public Schools. The Governors budget plan includes Increased Spending for Charter Schools and Vouchers. Indiana has the Nations Broadest Voucher Program. Pence also is calling for adding a balanced budget amendment to the state constitution in the speech Tuesday evening to a joint session of the Indiana House and Senate. The speech comes amid speculation that Pence might seek the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2016.
