INDIANAPOLIS COLTS HONOR 2013 INDIANA HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC ALL-STARS The Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana High School Athletic Association and the Indiana Football Coaches Association will recognize 30 outstanding student-athletes with the 2013 Indiana High School Academic All-Stars Award. The presentation will take place prior to the Titans game on Sunday, December 1 at 8:30 a.m. in Meeting Rooms 8 and 9 at Lucas Oil Stadium (event level on the northeast corner of the stadium, access off of Capitol Avenue between the East and Lucas Oil Gates). The class will also be presented during pre-game. Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. EST. 2013 marks the 15th year the Colts, the IHSAA and the IFCA have partnered to present this annual award to the top student-athletes at each position. The IFCA polled high school head coaches around the state, and the coaches tabbed athletes ranked in the top two-percent of their respective classes. In seasons past the IFCA selection committee narrowed the list to 24 winners. However, that proved to be difficult this year so the class was extended to 30 and this group truly represents the spirit of the award. Of the players selected, there are 24 valedictorians and five salutatorians. On behalf of Mr. Irsay and the entire Colts organization, we applaud these distinguished student-athletes for their commitment to excellence,” said Director of Player Engagement David Thornton. “As achievers on and off the field, this select group of students represents tomorrow’s leaders by their actions today.” “Congratulations to these outstanding student-football players who were selected by our committee to represent all of the excellent student-athletes competing for their schools this past football season. Twenty-four of those selected are ranked No. 1 in their graduating class, five are ranked No. 2 and one is ranked in less than the top one-percent of his class,” said Dave Shelbourne, Chairman of the IFCA Colts Academic All- State Committee. “A very special thanks to the entire Colts organization for their continuing support of Indiana high school football.” Media members are invited to cover Sunday’s press conference. Reporters and photographers may report to Meeting Rooms 8 and 9 at 8 a.m. For more information, please call Pamela Humphrey at (317) 808-5111. 2013 Indiana High School Academic All-Stars OFFENSE POS PLAYER HIGH SCHOOL OL Brett McCullough FJ Reitz OL Andrew Brown FJ Reitz OL Daniel Fesenmeier Cardinal Ritter OL Alek Copeland North Central (Farmersburg) OL Jordan Cadle Paoli WR Cody Thompson Southridge WR Ryan Ball North White WR Keagan Downey Northwestern RB Jacob Mundy Southridge RB Jake Bertucci Wheeler RB Austin Montgomery Greenwood RB Gabriel Welch Lewis Cass QB Cyrus Holland Rochester DEFENSE POS PLAYER HIGH SCHOOL DL Cole Stalcup Covington DL Collin Saxman Jay County DL Dakota Sneed Edinburgh DL Steven Gattman Concord DL Ryan Bennett North Montgomery LB Everett Gorup West Lafayette LB Bryer Houston Delphi Community LB Mitchell Turley Westfield LB Zach Shepard Prairie Heights DB Avery Walker Rensselaer Central DB Chandler Carroll Yorktown DB Kynon Johnson Sullivan DB Joshua Streveler Bluffton DB Josh Bottos Lowell SPECIALIST PK Andrew Marr Pike P Austin LeClere Perry Central (Leopold) P Isaac Harker Lebanon
