"INDIANS IN AVIATION" project. This Saturday...the 21st from 10:30 am to 12:30, the MAAIC will be starting the process to gather stories of the families who came to Wichita to work in aircraft. The years of interest are from 1940 to 1970. If your Native American family came here for work at Boeing, Beechcraft, Cessna or Learjet, you are invited to come and begin the interview process. Bring pictures of your family from that time...there are some, but we welcome more!! The name of the project is "INDIANS IN AVIATION" and we believe this is a story never before told of the impact those families had on Wichita. Please help spread the word.
