¤《¤INFERTILITY¤》¤ Infertility is perceived as a problem across virtually all cultures and societies and affects an estimated 10%-15% of couples of reproductive age. In recent years, the number of couples seeking treatment for infertility has dramatically increased due to factors such as postponement of childbearing in women, development of newer and more successful techniques for infertility treatment, and increasing awareness of available services. This increasing participation in fertility treatment has raised awareness and inspired investigation into the psychological ramifications of infertility. Consideration has been given to the association between psychiatric illness and infertility. Researchers have also looked into the psychological impact of infertility per se and of the prolonged exposure to intrusive infertility treatments on mood and well being. There is less information about effective psychiatric treatments for this population; however, there is some data to support the use of psychotherapeutic interventions. Infertility is not a disease, but a derangement- a condition where the couple is unable to conceive. The patient may have tried the help of ART=Assisted Reproductive Treatment, starting from simple medication to expensive and invasive procedures, IVF, ICSI, PGD etc. These can lead to anything from derangement in the normal physiology, to gross irreversible pathology, leading to iatrogenic complications. Those most commonly affected are in the age group between 20 to 45 years. Causes Falopian Blockage The common remedy for fallopian tube block is surgery only. But in some cases where continuous cough, cold and instances of Tuberculosis is responsible for the blockage, Fallopian Tubes Block can be curable with homeopathic medicines. The advantages of Homeopathic treatment are that it not only improves the condition, but also provides a life time solution for infertility caused by blockage. Hormonal Due to no ovulation or improper ovulationthe ovaries may not produce the eggs that have to be fertilized every month, and as a result, the estrogen levels start to increase. This is one of the main causes of hormone imbalance in a woman’s body. The symptoms of hormone imbalance may be caused by a multitude of reasons, but the basic reason is that there is an incorrect relationship between progesterone and estrogen levels in the woman’s body. Fibroids Fibroids are benign (non-cancerous) tumours that grow in, or around, the womb. Submucosal fibroids develop in the muscle beneath the inner lining of the womb wall and grow into the middle of the womb. Submucosal fibroids can reduce fertility, although exactly how they do this is not yet known. It is possible that a fibroid may prevent an embryo from implanting itself into your womb.
