SUBJECT: ACTIONS TAKEN TO SAVE MONEY AND IMPROVE OUR RESORT Welcome Back to Sea Scape! We hope you have another wonderful, fun vacation at your home resort. Your Board of Directors wanted you to know of some recent measures taken to save money, increase revenue, and improve your vacation: 1. A new Refurbishment Committee has been formed and has met twice. The members are working hard to make our resort up-to-date according to industry standards and the wishes of owners. The members are: Tony Soltys, Chairman, Pat Soltys, Pete Sykes, Donna Howland, Mike Showalter, Kathy Doren, Bob Berback, Heather Hamm-Exchange Coordinator, Mary Alice Armstrong-Housekeeping, and Paul Rowen-Maintenance. Mary MacDonald is the representative for the Board of Directors. 2. Super Golf Packages are being offered for off-season weeks that include accommodations and unlimited golf. Check out the flyer! 3. Three-year “right to use agreements” are available for $600 per week per year. 4. Many resort-owned units are for sale at discount prices (cost of maintenance plus closing fees)! Inquire in the sales office. 5. Our insurance coverage has been adjusted at a savings of $1,590 per year. 6. SS employees are now being paid bi-weekly through ADP which saves us money. 7. A Snack Shack and General Store is to open near the putt-putt area by the pool. For Sale will be: snacks, drinks, toiletries and sundries including baby swim diapers. 8. Our Maintenance Department is re-building the entry stairs and landings at a savings of almost $3,000 per unit. 9. The wi-fi internet in the units has been updated to increase bandwidth. 10. According to our By-Laws, the resort’s financial annual review vs. an audit will save approximately $11,700. 11. Four new deck chairs are on each deck; some old Adirondack chairs are available for $5.00 each. Call the office. A multi-functional night light in case of power outages has been added to each unit. The Recreation Center locker rooms have slip resistant floors and new plastic lockers.
