INJUSTICE TO ATMOSPHERE By Ajiroba Oladipupo Daniel Many times we undermine the major issues of life, We go about struggling, lavishing in earthly strife, I say no that those issues are of no importance, But how far will we go without Earth’s sustenance? Many pay no attention to the imbalance in the ecosystem, We endanger our lives with life threatening chemical items, Some out of ignorance, others are just being lackadaisical, But these actions are gradually turning suicidal! Watch out! Watch out! The ozone layer cries out, Has anyone noticed how scorching the sun is of late? Little by little, our aquatic bodies continue to dry out, With our actions we begin to alter nature’s good fate. The mortality of man is fast reducing and vanishing, Just like the stars in the sky have gone to oblivion, But do we agree to the fact that the ship of existence is sinking? I have my opinions and thoughts, do not know what are you’re thinking. But alas! Man is the architect of his fate, Whatever he sows he reap! The inability to rely on old climate no more, in our hearts should bring fear. For all this seeming injustice to atmosphere, Human’s extinction is imminent!
