INNA NILLAHI WAINNA ILLAIHIRRAJIUN!!! ALLAHUMMA AJIRNA MINAN NARR. 18:29. And say, ‘It is the truth from your Lord, therefore let him who wishes (it) believe (in it) and let him who wishes (otherwise) disbelieve (in it).’ (But let everyone remember,) We have prepared for the unjust a fire whose (flaming) enclosure will surround (and fumes envelope) them. If they cry for water, they shall be helped with water (boiling) like molten lead, which will scald their faces. How dreadful the drink and how dismal is (the Fire as) a resting place! وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ 18:29Let him who wishes believe and let him who wishes disbelieve”. Allâh has His Free Will (al-Mâlik), and He gave free will to humans. The freedom of choice implicates the possibility to make wrong decisions. Such a choice in the matter is not given to the ‘angels’. They do only what they are commanded to do (14:50; 66:6). Nor do space or matter have a choice to disobey Allâh (cf 41:11). The earth revolves involuntarily, and its movement deserves neither reward nor punishment. Only our actions undertaken as a result of free will shall be weighed on the Day of Reckoning. He does not compel obedience but invites us to it for our benefit. Our power to choose good is increased by the inspiration of Rûh al-Qudus and to do evil is prompted by Iblîs. Rûh al-Qudus and Iblîs present to us opposing choices. Rûmî says: “Free will is the endeavour to thank Allâh for His beneficence; predestination is the denial of this beneficence.” JUMA@ KAREEM
