INNATE THOUGHTS Everyday I wake up to see the emptiness of beds, the loneliness of my room, passionately I pray, forcely I stand, I search in my head what to do, but always get a spur to resist the word " read, book, exam", why I ask? Eagerly I tune my radio, unsatisfied with the morning news,i wait earnestly for the late morning news, but still not satisfied, struggling with my music library hoping for the news at noon. What an heartbreak! No positive response to my plight,my heart scream help lord! My Gandhi soul says "what seems impossible today will becom possible tomorrow" fillled with the maxim of peace by David Trimble which says" what I have looked for is a peace within the realms of the possible . We could only have started from where we actually were, not from where we would have liked to be and when we start we will go on,sometimes we stumble ,maybe even go back a bit ,but this need not matter if in the spirit of an old Irish proverb we say to ourselves, tomorrow is another day" Life as a federal puppet has been so disappointing, what can one hope for when the assumed source of escape from stagnant family status is being chained to the decision of supposed freedom fighters and resouce allocators. What a life! Sitting on my bed struggling with my mind on the way forward , my mind so occupied with thought unknown attracted by everything around me ,a voice telling me fix it! Fix it! My phone groan with the pressure of my stimulated hands, subliminally forced to scratch out letters like S...T....R...I....K....E. Continuously I unleash the pains and depression on it just like a man who is underemployed and intimated for is diligence - over sabi- by the OGA AT THE TOP, he return home everyday to unleash the dragon on his wife and children. How I wish! How I wish I could be opportuned to enlighten the minds of the oppressed and unlearned to key into the non-violence belief of Mohandas Gandhi towards achieving our desired and common goal. Nigeria students need to free their minds tied to the Naira note and mouth sealed with Naira promises. I say NO to the mockery of " we are leaders of tomorrow" we are leaders of today, ask not what you will put in ur pocket but what you can plant for your children to grow up to appreciate. Nigeria can only be built by Nigerians,we are ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION , ONE NIGERIA.
