INNOCENT LITTLE CHILDREN by Rose Miletello There are many people who do not need a alarm clock to wake them up. Automatically their brains become programed just like a computer. Like robots their rise, dress, eat then hurry off to their destiny. Perhaps they have duplicated, the robot, and taken on it,s personality. The robots, have no feelings, no heart, and it has no room for compassion. We are living in an electronic age, the time when our 6 year old grand daughters picks up a cell phone to play games on it . What ever happened to the children sitting in the grass, with their cousins, playing with a doll, and have a brother pushing the baby carriage. how many of us from the older generation played house, where a brother played the daddy. This kind of life has been buried in a deep grave. When there is a fire, people we should not feed the flame.We must find ways to introduce our children to some of the simple things in life. For example: a child with a few other children can have just as much fun with a $.99 cent ball and jacks game. compared to an iphone candy crush game. Having the other children, present will teach them, to share and to bond. Place them alone with an iphone does not educate them more. Parents thinks it is good to introduce them to the computer at an early age.Therefore it baby sits the child, and they say the child is learning. from a computer . But it produces a camaflauge and blocks out some important things that children need. Generally a child becomes selfish when they play along without other children. for periods of time.. I was reminded of this when a relative showed me some old photographs. Photos taken at grandma,s house. We looked forward for our regular visits just so we can be with our cousins. The electronic age has taken over, when you wake up in the morning to have coffee and go straight to the computer news feed on facebook. Then some of us are staying up all night on the network, because of retirement, etc. and hang out., while our spouses are fast asleep. I am guilty , do not know what i would do without a computer or a television. I am not the type to sit and read novels. People i much rather be sitting in a bed of green clover, lying on my belly next to my cousins playing with a doll , it would be nice if the next time the government decides to do a daylight savings time. , by turning back the hands of time, that we may find ourselves as innocent little children playing house ..
