INSIDE THE PHOTOFRAME I am switched off like light Disjointed from time Never to shine, Lost is the rainbow Of their eyes, An old acquaintance With faded flowers, Around my neck In the photo frame. Every year I am in the page Of a news paper, Tears of memory In purple words, I am a dateless calendar On our wall, Farther off from birth days and funerals, I am my wife’s prayer in the eve , A god-like man invisible but worshipped. The sweetest love I ever get when dead, I am words of dialectic of all my goodness, My children quit for schools in folded hands, The fruits of a tree that is broken in a storm, Bloodless I am like star but bright in thoughts. I am inside the little purse studded with gems, Sparkled as a gift of irresistible charm, A memory for her of million tears, I am solemn though small against the wall, Though far I am beautiful of all.
