Another reason some people who wish to speak in tongues have not spoken in tongues is the attempt to rationalise the language of tongues. Some beliefs that come under this umbrella are as follows: i. The belief that the person speaking in tongues must understand literally what he is saying or be able to interpret it. ii. The belief that those who hear the person speaking in tongues should literally understand the tongues or be able to interpret it. This belief is predicated on the fact that when the early Apostles spoke in tongues, as recorded in Acts 2, people understood what they spoke. I would love to address these beliefs, one before another. There are very deep revelations I want to share on these issues. You do not want to miss such uncommon insights.
