INSPIRATION (Giving direction to your day) Thursday 1ST January, 2015 FACING THE NEW YEAR 1 Text: “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer 29:11 Thank God you made it to this New Year. I want to specially welcome you to this New Year. We must appreciate that the best of our lives are not behind us, but ahead of us. The greatest breakthroughs and opportunities of life are ahead of us. I strongly believe this New Year is filled with opportunities and possibilities. What we make of this Year will be determined by how we face it. There is a right way and a wrong way to face the New Year. The wrong way to face the New Year is to do so in fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety seems to be the most natural thing to do, but it does not change anything. Fear is actually faith in the reversal. Fear is an expectation of what the enemy is suggesting. If you face the New Year with fear and anxiety then you are destroying the year before stepping into it. Saul and the armies of Israel had lost the battle even before it started. They were so paralyzed within that they could not even take a step. If they had attempted to fight Goliath and failed we would have said at least they made an attempt. The greatest paralysis is not the paralysis of the limbs, but the paralysis of the mind. We’ve had case of people were handicapped physically but still became extreme success in life. When you are paralyzed within the following will happen: 1. You will lack the inner strength to face challenges. 2. You will lack the idea and inspiration on what to do with your life. You will stay more in a state of confusion than a state of direction. This year is loaded for you. Deal with fear and anxiety today. God’s plans and purpose for this year will come. PRAYER: Father thank you for the plans you have for me this Year. The spirit of fear is broken on my life.
