INSTAGRAM NOTICE This morning I woke up and had a couple of emails from Instagram saying they had taken down something I posted. Hummmm, really? So I tried to see what was it that I posted there that violated their rules. And... Surprise! Your account has been blocked. Erased. Puff. Kaputt Without any further warning, notice or... the chance to ask why or to appeal for such an arbitrary decision. Years of images, thousands of contacts and followers, tags... all gone in a second. And why? Just because THEY CAN. So, bottom line: social networks that can erase you in a second, just because they can... are they really worth it? I understand that there are Terms & Conditions to follow. Even under a dictatorship there are courts, there are ways to claim your rights. But not in this so-called free social networks, where some private censors with some foggy criteria (to say the least) are imposing on all of us their rules, their views, their likes. And then selling our behavioral information to advertisers. Making money out of our social (or business) life. Food for thought, no?
