INSTAGRAM: WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM/FUNCTIONALPATTERNS I have been using K-tape for about a year now and I will say that it is great to use in an integrated system. For those who speak on there being no evidence to support the use of K-tape, I always ask what the purpose of the scientific study was in the first place. Typically, it appears the variables were isolated significantly to make the study work. The problem is that the human body is a wee bit more complicated than measuring the melting point of aluminum. When you are a concoction of trillions of cells, its hard to distinguish whether the results of a study are so, or if they are but in a very limited context Here is my purpose for using K-tape: To change integrated biomechanics on human beings. I WANT TO ALTER THE WAY THEY MOVE. With that said, I dont use K-tape the way most others use it. In this video, you can see the change in biomechanics in relation to the forearm. Ive never had a person I used this technique on that didnt feel a substantial change in the area proximal to the wrist and elbow. In fact, many of them noticed a change in their shoulder joint too. Who knows though, maybe I just suggested it all. Although this will not be the end all be all when it comes to addressing neuromuscular dysfunctions, especially at the deep layers of fascia inhibiting motor control, it will certainly be a fairly large step in the right direction. To all you movement scientists, behave like a scientist and actually try things before accepting what the control group tells you what is right... Just a bit of advice ;) #FUNCTIONALPATTERNS #REALFUNCTIONALTRAINING #KTAPE #STRUCTURALINTEGRATION #TESTESTABLISHEDSCIENCE #DONTBEALEMMING
