The tensions and political power struggles in Ukraine have dominated news coverage in the last months. However, the country’s future still remains largely uncertain. In an attempt to build common ground for the further development of Ukraine, the World Economic Forum has recently released the study “Scenarios for the Ukraine”, which introduces three scenarios for the country. These range from a “Sleepwalking into Stagnation” scenario that describes a political and economic collapse of Ukraine to “Nurturing a Virtuous Circle” built on a modernized and transparent economic system.
