INTERESTING SOUTHERN OREGON PHENOMENON: The buzzards are gathering and getting ready to migrate south. The fly around in huge groups until they detect an upward draft. Sometimes this takes a few days, but when the right upward draft is found, they circle & circle upward until you can barely see them with binoculars, then when they reach the south-bound current they are trying to reach, they set their wings and shoot off over the Siskiyou Mountains and into California. What I have also observed is that when the buzzards leave for good, we almost always get the first really big storm of the season in one week. Im going to count on that, because deer season so far sucks due to warm, balmy weather.
