INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY 02,10 2013 PHARAOHS VS CRANES- 5pm After the earlier scheduled game with Iraq fell through, Uganda Cranes will for the second time in two days face The Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly game today at the Airforce Stadium, Cairo. The hosts beat Uganda 2-0 on Monday thanks to goals from Zamalek duo of Ahmed Eid and Hazem Emam in the 7th and 66th minutes respectively. Egypt is once again expected to field a second string side without foreign based stars and Al Ahly players who are preparing to face Cameroon’s Coton Sport in the Caf Champions league semi-finals this weekend. Like Bob Bradley, Cranes Coach Mulitin ‘Mitcho’ Sredojevic also named a second string side picked from players plying their trade at home. The Serb who is yet to win a game in North Africa since being appointed Cranes tactician is expected to make a few changes in the team that lost on Monday meant to give an opportunity to players who didn’t get playing time on Monday. URA FC goalie Brian Bwete is expected to start in goal ahead of Benjamin Ochan who had a full game on Monday while Simon Namwanja and Nicholas Wadada may start at left and right full back respectively. Jonathan Mugabi may earn his debut at the heart of defense partnering with stand in skipper Richard Kasagga relegating SC Victoria University centre back Savio Kabugo on the bench. Egypt is in preparations to face Ghana in the 2014 World Cup play offs first leg on October 15.
