INTERNATIONAL SSD PATHFINDER CAMPOREE – JAKARTA 2014 WILL BE CANCELED Dear Youth Directors and counterparts, We are sorry to announce that the Jakarta Pathfinder Camporee will be canceled due to the political election which was originally planned for October 2014and was moved by the Government on July 9, 2014. We are also informed that all government owned facilities are closed a week prior to the election which falls on our Camporee date (July 1-6, 2014). This unfortunate situation is beyond our control. We cannot also move it before or to a later date after the election due to the tight schedule of our guest speakers. There will be an alternate event that will be constructed as soon as we are done with the Annual Council. The event will focus on youth leadership certification, or summit. OYIM trainees will have their graduation in Jakarta merge with this event. We are still going to use the same date (July 1-6, 2014), with the same invited guest speakers from the GC. The alternate event is being planned but to a lesser scale. We are only aiming 500 delegates to this alternative program due to the limited time we have left. Please spread the news to all local churches youth leaders and pathfinder directors regarding the cancellation of the Jakarta Camporee and “NO MORE BUYING or RESERVATION” of tickets. If you have further questions regarding the Jakarta Youth Camporee Cancellation, please write to us. We will assess your questions and answer it as a whole. Please stand bye for further information regarding the Alternative Program as it is still in the progress of formulation.
