INTERNSHIP ALERT Tinkilove is a London based Luxury Womens Streetwear Fashion start-up company. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pattern cutting intern to work in a small start-up environment assisting the designer with pattern cutting, toiling and research. Experience of pattern cutting and garment making is essential. The position is unpaid and on a voluntary basis but this is an excellent opportunity to get involved in all aspects of a small start-up brand and you will work with the team at every step of the process, from research & design to prototyping and finishing the final garments as we produce our A/W Collection that will be showing at the second largest Off Schedule Show at London Fashion Week in London with Fashions Finest and also taking part at Britains Top Designer 2015 end of February. This is an opportunity for an ambitious and energetic student or newly qualified to gain real experience in setting up a brand from first principles, and in working directly with the designer. Main duties: • Pattern adjusting / tracing • Spec pack / Technical drawing • Assisting with sample cutting • Mock ups • Scheduling with senior pattern cutter and designer / Up-date information • Detail Design / Presentation • Assisting fitting • Hand finishing • Fabric and trim sourcing • Production assistance • General studio errands Necessary skills: • BA education in Fashion Design / Pattern Cutting or similar • Basic knowledge in pattern cutting and garments construction • Sewing skill of industrial machine and hand • Verbal communication Most important is to bring a smile and good energy and enthusiasm to the day!
