INTERNSHIP! Internship at FYI for Young Women Creating Equitable Spaces Project is looking for self-identified young women aged 15-22 to participate in a 4 month paid summer internship at For Youth Initiative (FYI). The Creating Equitable Spaces project aims to build a gender-based analysis that will help to understand and reduce the barriers of participation and engagement in programs and services for young women at FYI and in Weston Mount-Dennis. The program is designed to help participants gain knowledge and skills in leadership, gender, and community-based research. Participants will discuss issues related to their lives and communities, attend sessions with guest facilitators, go on field trips, and develop their own community research project. Participants will receive an honorarium for the program, community hours, food, TTC, and a certificate of participation. Dates: Wednesday, July 3rd - Wednesday, October 30th, 2013.
