INTRODUCING AWRS NEXT BOY ON THE BLOCK 2 year old Earnie aka - TopicsExpress

INTRODUCING AWRS NEXT BOY ON THE BLOCK 2 year old Earnie aka Earnest is a typical playful Westie teenager, who has had the run of the house. This incredibly loved little guy, was struggling to cope with his home being invaded by mobile toddlers. So his owner decided that in the best interest of Earnie, he needed a home that he felt comfortable & not worried about toddlers invading his space. Since arriving at Club Westie, Earnie has been learning some manners & how to share with others. He is extremely toy focused, to the point of obsessed. This causes a great adrenlin rush in him, with him always wanting to play fetch. This then triggers anxiety & guarded behaviours, due to him not wanting others to take his toy possession. Having previously been attacked a couple of times by another dog, Earnie is very guarded & anxious of his personal space, when with other dogs. This & his obsessive behaviour towards any toy that may be in his environment, is highly likely to cause friction & fights with other dogs. So in order to keep Club Westie as calm, comfortable & safe for everyone, all toys have been removed & kept out of sight. Thanks to the wonderful effects of the calming coat, it has really helped him to be able to cope with the change of his environment & having to share a house with numerous Westies. Earnest has really improved in the short period of time that hes been with us. From grumbling to tell others to leave him alone (& the other dogs not reacting to his grumbling), hes now playing with all the younger Westies at Club Westie. A great improvement, for only a few days of him being with us. Theres more work to be done, however the signs are extremely positive & we should see him leaving for his forever family, in the near future. Please respect that AWR DOESNT DISCUSS POTENTIAL ADOPTIONS ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. If you are interested in being Earnies forever family, please complete AWRs adoption application on our website allwestierescue Thank you
