INTRODUCING...FIONA!!! Fiona is FINALLY ready for her forever home!! Fiona is a two to three year old blue cream torti persian. She is doll-faced (meaning she has a bit of a nose!). Fiona is fully vetted and ready to go to her forever home. Several months ago Fiona was rescued from a Houston area kill shelter. When she came to us, Fi was covered in scabs and almost bald. It was determined that Fiona has severe allergies - to fleas, to certain foods, and to environmental allergens. Most of Fis skin issues were able to be cleared up by feeding a good grain free diet. But she still was scratching and had some small amount of scabbing. To combat these remaining allergic reactions, Fiona has to take a medication called Atopica. Right now she is taking the medication daily, in a couple of weeks she will go to every other day. Several weeks later, she will go to every three days. The goal with this medication is to stabilize Fionas little body so she only needs a maintenance doseage of one to two times a week. The Atopica medication is about $25/mo - so not a big expense!! Fiona is a sweet, sassy little dynamo! As is typical of torti cats, Fiona can be a diva - and a bossy little one at that (especially when food is concerned! lol!). But she is very affectionate and loving - some sweetness to balance out the spice! =) Fiona is fine with other animals, after an initial adjustment period - both cats and dogs. But she would also be fine as an only kitty. Fionas adoption fee is $150.
