INTRODUCING OUR 2015 JUDGES: PHILIP JOHN, INDIA OUR SUPREME BABY & PUPPY BEST IN SHOW JUDGE I am an All Breeds Judge on the Kennel Club of India (KCI) panel since 1977 and started judging internationally from 1982 and have awarded CCs & CACIB to more than 150 Breeds and judged Groups and BIS frequently. I have officiated as a Specialist judge at Sight Hound, Dachshund, Labrador, Doberman, Boxer, Rottweiler, Great Dane, Dalmatian, Basenji, Pug and Tibetan breeds shows. I am currently the President of the Dachshund Club of India. My first international assignment was in 1982 when I was invited to judge the Hound Group at the Silver Jubilee Show of North of the Harbour Club, Sydney. I was a judge at the Spring Fair 1984 a have judged shows in Australia and New Zealand regularly. In 1988, was invited by Eastern Districts KC, Johannesburg and became the first Asian to judge in South Africa. Thereafter judged several shows in SA including major ones in Cape Town. Judged Brisbane Royal in 1994 and Sydney Royal in 1995. Repeated Sydney Royal in 2003 and Brisbane Royal in 2009. At the World Dog Show 2010 in Denmark, I was privileged to judge Miniature Poodle (entry of 148), English Cocker Spaniel, and West Highland White Terrier. I have judged in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and India, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Estonia, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Hungary, and Slovakia, as well as, South Africa, Brazil, and Canada. I am contracted to judge in Johannesburg, Split, and Buenos Aires in 2015 and California, USA in 2016. In 2014, I judged the Dachshund Specialty in Moscow in January, followed by the Great Jakarta Show in June. Later in June I judged for Melbourne Dog Club followed by Lyndhurst CCC 25th Silver Anniversary. Ch. Show. Thereafter in Auckland I judged for the Hauraki Canine Association. In August I was invited to judge Schnauzers, Tibetan Terrier, Lhasa Apso, Doberman, Bichon Frise, Havanese, Miniature Pinscher, Italian Greyhound, Scottish Deer Hound, Irish Wolfhound, Pharaoh Hound and BIS at the Triple INT Dog Show in Jonkoping, Sweden. At the World Show 2014 at Helsinki I was given the privilege of judging Standard Smooth Dachshund, Saluki, and Pekinese. Thereafter, in September I judged in Taiwan while in November I went to an interesting Show in Murwillumbah, a small town in northern New South Wales, Australia. Ended 2014 judging at the Helsinki Winner Show, as well as, the Stockholm Winner Show in December. I have bred Doberman, Beagle, Lhasa Apso, Standard Dachshund, and German Shepherd. Also exhibited Greyhound, Whippet, and Standard Dachshund (LH). Have served on the Kennel Club of India Committee between 1976 and 2011 and FCI Asian Section Board on many occasions since inception.
