INVESTMENT UPDATES: Equity Bank Vs Safaricom battle continues.. Just a day after CAK and CBK gave Equitel, go ahead to operate their simcards, Safaricom today gave instructions to their lawyers to rush to the Courts seeking an injunction to stop Equitels launch which was slated for tomorrow.. That partly explains the reason Equity share went down slightly at the close of the market.. In a nutshell, Safaricom understands theyre battered seriously and theyre now fighting for their survival in courts!! Why are they fearing competition?? The interesting part about this fight is that it resembles the war in Somalia in that its happening in Safaricoms Ground while Equitys core business remains as it has been - even better.. Are you as a Kenyan ready for Equitel?? Lets see how the barometer goes.. Anyhow, Equity shares are a very good investment and i urge all to own a piece of Murangas Global Bank..
