INVITATION TO BECOME WORLD CHRISTIAN In his book “In the Gap” Dr .David Bryant gives this invitation. Before giving the Invitation he opens our eyes to the following facts. I Fact: There is a worldwide purpose in Christ ---------Christ: The center ---------The nations: the target ---------The gospel: the power ---------The Church: the Church the agent ---------Missions: the process ---------Multiplied congregations: the strategy ---------Numerical growth: a measure ---------Compassion: the pulse ---------Cultural transformation: the impact ---------Satan: the enemy Fact: There is a world full of possibilities through Christ ---------Church history ---------Spiritual renewal ---------World trends ---------The evangelistic acceleration ---------Available personnel ---------Modern resources ---------“Closed doors” and the possibilities Fact: There is world full of people without Christ ---------Facing problem with Visibility ---------A vision of how we’re similar ---------A vision of how we’re different ---------A vision of the many worlds in American (The author is an American) --------The crucial vision of Hidden people --------A vision of strategies that fit the mosaic Fact: There is a world size part with Christ of which everybody should be excited about ---------The Vision: with Christ—“ Follow me: ----------The vision: our part— “Lose your life” ----------The vision; world -sized —“Find life” ----------A vision of those who set the pace ----------A vision to go as far as we can go ----------My part needs the Holy Spirit ----------My part needs the whole Body ----------My part needs many mission teams Having seen and realized how true they are we have to see the following very clearly and have to make the decision. • The big picture of Christ’s global cause • The church’s potential for fulfilling that cause • The great scope of earth’s unreached peoples • The strategic impact we can have Having caught the vision of Christ’s global because let us all decide to become a world Christians by acknowledging that 1. God has a worldwide PURPOSE in Christ that encompasses all history, all creation and all peoples everywhere, especially those yet to be reached by the Gospel. 2. There is a world full of POSSIBILITIES through Christ to significantly advance that purpose in our generation among all earth’s peoples. 3. There is a world full of PEOPLE without Christ, most of who must be reached by major new missionary efforts by all Christians everywhere. 4. God has given all Christians a world sized PART with Christ that can make a strategic impact on reaching unreached peoples to the ends of the earth. Therefore, let us choose to keep this world vision. By saying, “I choose • To BE a world Christian, unifying my whole relationship with Christ around His global cause. • To JOIN with other world Christians, as we team up to serve the cause together. • To PLAN to obey my vision in three areas: ---To regularly BUILD my vision by taking time to study the cause ---To REACH OUT directly to the world in love to fulfill the cause ---To GIVE my vision to other Christians, leading them into the cause of World Christian Discipleship.
