IRAN CALLS --------------- Iran and six world powers appeared likely to extend talks on Tehrans nuclear programme beyond a July 20 deadline.Iran and the six nations are trying to bridge differences in negotiating positions over a deal intended to end a decade-long dispute over Tehrans nuclear program. Speaking at a news conference Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad JavadZarif strayed from the nuclear issue to reiterate Tehrans calls for an end to what Iran calls Israeli aggression against the defenseless people of Gaza. Relations with Iran, widely believed to be a main patron for Hamass military wares, are thought to have suffered after Hamas refused to back Tehrans ally, President Bashar al-Assad, in Syria against mainly Islamist rebels.
