IRENA awards its Global Atlas mobile to Prodevelop IRENA has awarded Prodevelop with the contract to develop a Global Atlas mobile application for the Agency. IRENA, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an intergovernmental organisation that supports countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future, and serves as the principal platform for international cooperation, a centre of excellence, and a repository of policy, technology, resource and financial knowledge on renewable energy. With more than 100 member countries all around the world, its located in Abu Dhabi. The project will consist of providing platform mobile applications to access a wide existing geo-catalogue of renewable energy potential maps in order to have a Global Atlas in the pocket, anytime and anywhere. This project will allow the dissemination of more than 1000 solar and wind resources to help identify priority development areas over a territory, to plan the investments in projects and infrastructures over time, and to ensure the regulatory framework is adequate for creating an attractive investment environment. All the developments will be made using open-source technologies, acoording to our work philosophy. Prodevelop wants to thank IRENA for the trust and confidence put in us.
