IRISH RACING PREVIEW VENUE: DUNDALK DATE: 10 October 2014 FIRST RACE: 5.40 (8 Races - Flat) GOING: Standard Ger Lyons and Colin Keane have enjoyed a terrific time of things in 2014 and they will be hoping to add another big win to their collection at Dundalk on Friday night when they team up with Bertie Le Belge in the feature Star Appeal Stakes • The Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stakes (7.10), worth €47,500 in prize-money, is the highlight of an eight-race card under the floodlights at Dundalk on Friday evening and the Ger Lyons-trained Bertie Le Belge is likely to be sent off favourite. • Successful on his first two starts, Bertie Le Belge was fourth behind the exciting John F Kennedy on his latest outing in a Group 3 at Leopardstown, and with a rating of 98 he should be able to get back to winning ways under Colin Keane. He faces five rivals including recent Listowel winner Smugglers Cove and Fields Of May from the Jim Bolger stable. • The Mattie Tynan-trained Maontri proved to be a revelation at Dundalk earlier in the year, winning four times on the bounce between January and February, and she makes her eagerly-awaited return to action in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race (7.40). • The first of eight races at Dundalk is due off at 5.40.
