IROKO AND HIS TEAM ABANDON OKELUSE & THE OGBESE BRIDGE AT OKELUSE BECAUSE OF 2ND TERM ELECTIONEERING. His excellency Governor Olusegun Mimiko (Iroko Gba sibe) of our dear Ondo state and members of his political team both in the houses of Assembly, Representatives and Senate compensate us in Okeluse by abandoning the ancient city without any impact of his government or of the federal government. Okeluse people fought for the Labour party and their candidates. Our loyalty to his excellency was absolute. We ensured all his candidates won the elections with our votes. No doubt we love Iroko gba-sibe, the name that has become a sing-song in our city. Regrettably, since his excellency and his team came to power, not a single shred of their impact could be felt in the ancient town. Our major desire is to see the ogbese bridge completed. That project remains our vision since centuries. The bridge when completed will improve economic activities in our local government and the state in general. Transporters will enjoy the shorter route to Edo, Ogun, and Lagos states. Inter-state business will prosper and the benefit of the bridge cannot be overemphasized. The past regime in ondo and at the Federal level nearly completed this bridge before our able and amiable governor came into office. But since inception, Ogbese bridge was jettisoned. As could be seen in the pictures here, the major works have been completed. It ONLY remains sand-filling the ends of the bridge and errecting rails at the sides. 3 years, 4 years, 5 years gone, no works on Ogbese bridge. Sad. During previous campaigns, ALL the LABOUR PARTY POLITICIANS who came to us promised to fix the bridge within months in office since the major work has been done. You can see in the pictures how we have been deceived and lied to. You want to say the bridge is a federal govenrment project? Yes you are right. In their promises, they said they have access to Aso Rock and would expedite actions on the bridge. All our political leaders in the state are from the Labour party. It seems there is an aggreement among them to place an embargo on the bridge. Your excellency and Labour leaders in the house of Representative and Senate should please WAKE UP and complete this bridge now or else the people you deceived and lied to will revolt against you. You still have enough time to complete what you regarded as a simple job. We are begin you pls help us.
