IRONY!!! Its very easy for one to think that politicians from Luo Nyanza who have made it to elective offices like Parliament, Senate and Governors courtesy of their association with Raila, love the man to death, that they would take a bullet for him. But believe it or not, nothing could be further from the truth. All these fellows hate Raila with a passion, and they cant wait to see him exit the scene so that they, like the rest of Kenyans, can know freedom once again, eg Orengo, while others would know freedom for the first time. The reason these people are with Raila is because they have no choice as long as they want to occupy those offices, having realized that theres little they can do about his cult-like, demonic hold on the populace. One cannot, for instance, help but feel sorry and a sense of loss to the country, when seeing a person of Orengos calibre making such a fool of himself, saying things he doesnt believe in, simply because thats what Raila wants to hear. This is real conflict for Orengo and the rest of the gang, and they know that their freedom will only come when Raila is no longer calling the shots in Luo Nyanza politics. But they also face another huge dilemna. Having so intricately tied their political destiny to Odingaism, they have real fear that when Raila falls (its no longer a matter of IF, but WHEN) hell go down with them. Talk of crisis!
