IS EVERYDAY REALLY YOUR DAY A testimony that let me know God is in charge and after being selfish what a blessing I got Over the past years in my career I have kinda developed a passion for leading bike rides especially for people with cancer. I do it in honor of my father in law and my cousin Pam kinda my way of giving back. Ive known about this ride for about a month and said I would do it. Suzanne had everything coordinated and I was happy to do it. Well this past week has sucked for me nothing went right. Well last night I got home and was mentally and physically exhausted I got to thinking I could get someone today to lead the ride after all this is MY SATURDAY. Well something prompted me to do it. Being the selfish person I can be I even said last night maybe it will rain. I woke up this morning and sure enough the beautiful sunshine was shinning. So I get my coffee and head out on MY DAY to do this ride. I get there and talk to the guy heading it up. Then this guy walks over we both stop and look at each other. He said your David Knight then it hit me who he was we have been friends since the first or second grade over 40 years. Havent seen each other in forever. Well we shake hands and hug and he says thank you so much for coming he told me he wanted me to meet his wife she was on her way but was very weak from chemo. My lord this ride was for my dear friends wife. My day suddenly changed. I was hit in the face it felt like. I lead the ride and it went great when it was over my friend said thank you I told him it was and honor for me to do it. He then took me around and I saw 6 people I grew up with and havent seen in over 20 years. I had a total blast and I was blessed today. Im not going to say all the names but its been on fb but keep Dana Cox and family in your prayers that healing and Gods will be done in their lives. Ask yourself is today or any day really yours or is a day you have a blessing from God. I thank God for my life Im glad he is bigger than me and can put me in my place.
