IS PRESIDENT JONATHAN A PRESIDENT OF IJAWS OR NIGERIA? One may wonder what this article stands to achieve, but i wish to bring to the notice of Nigerians the injurious slap currently being melted on the itsekiri people by our long time brothers who are fast becoming an enemy of progress and have refused to copy the plagiarizing of the itsekiri people, to this end, i wish to reiterate the need on the Ijaws to take a stand of brotherliness and respect the peace accord that had existed since 1954. Monopolising violence is an aberration to a sitting president who had cancelled the groundbreaking ceremony of the gigantic Export Processing Zone, EPZ project at Ogidigben in Warri south west LGA that was attracted to this domain by a member representing warri federal constituency, in the person of Hon. Daniel Reyenieju on several occasions. One may wonder what the agitations of the ijaws are, but as composmentis homosapiens whose wants are insatiable, calls for the relocation of the headquatres of warri south west local government area from OGIDIGBEN to OGBE IJOH by the ijaws many years ago during the creation of states and LGAs lead to the warri crisis, just incase you are deficient on informations. Reason being that, the Ijaws said OGIDIGBEN belonged to the itsekiris, hence their continuous refusal for the LGA headquaters to be cited there My question is, how come they have suddenly got up from their slumber and remembered that this place they once fought against has become a fortress and a becone of hope where light suddenly has appeared for a certain ethnic nationality? Is tompolo the commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria? Has a former militant warlord become the man ruling over the affairs of our region? I began to wonder, as it is gradually giving me sleepless night, how the man tompolo whom everyone thought had surrendered arms and embraced the amnesty declared by president Umaru Musa Yaradua of blessed memory is still as powerful and influential in the present day government as the president himself. The evil Tompolo has melted on us as a people are outlined as follows, He single handedly removed an itsekiri man TEMI OMATSEYE as DG NIMASA the moment President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan became president of the federal Republic of Nigeria, after 18months in office and replaced him with his puppet, Patrick Akpobolokemei. Can you suspend a DG of a federal parastatal for 4years with appearance in court ones a year? They immediately relocated the Maritime university from KOKO in warri north to OKERENGHIGHO, NOW OKERENKOKO as pronounced by the Ijaws. Now they are threatening the president not to come and kick start the project, that would employ over 46000 Nigerians irrespective of their tribal divide. Nigerians are we just going to sit and watch some IJAW warlords who are supposed to have laid down arms and embrace peace for the good of all destroy this mega project because of greed by these set of selfish ijaw leaders? Gbaramatu is Gbaramatu, Ogidigben is Ogidigben and we cant afford to trade our right for the fear of a chicken hearted president whose ulterior motive is to dance to the gallery of his foot soldiers who are not boko haramites in clear context except otherwise. To this end Mr President, the Ijaws have started beating the Drums of War and no tribe has monopoly of Violence. Furthermore, to an ordinary man who cant see the big picture of the relocation of the Maritime University from Koko to Okerenkoko, this is their plan.They want to use the school to import arms and armunitions, so they can send their closest rivals to final extinction. Logically that is what they are up to with people like Tompolo at the helms of affairs in the corridors of power. Finally, we are calling on the executive Governor of delta state, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan to wade into this unholy and worrisome evil by a set of wicked and greedy neighbours whose aims and objective is to thwart the presidents effort of not achieving the groundbreaking ceremony of the EPZ project in an itsekiri enclave.
