IS THERE A SECOND CHANCE AFTER DEATH? MEN’S PHILOSOPHY People have false impressions concerning Yahusha’s power. There is nothing He cannot do, yet we tend to limit His abilities when we overlay the way we think about things. Just as His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, so are His abilities. We try to guess about how He thinks and make judgments, yet He is the Judge. We judge with incomplete information, yet He sees into hearts where we cannot. As for doctrines, it’s best to show the teaching in Torah first, then begin to explain things without adding to those instructions. Instead, men’s ideas and philosophies took precedence. For centuries the Church declared people to be saints. It also invented Purgatory, and granted indulgences for time off in their Purgatory. It set up relics that could imbue favors, and sacraments through which their priesthood could confer various kinds of “dispensational grace.” The current pope has offered indulgences for time-off in Purgatory for anyone who follows him on Twitter. If you believe that, they also have a stuffed donkey in Verona, Italy that they claim is the same animal Yahusha rode into Yerushalayim on, and it can give you time off in Purgatory as well. The idea people are purging their stained condition in fire right now would mean Yahushas blood wasnt adequate, but fell short of redeeming us. Somehow we need indulgences and sacramental dispensation to augment His work of atonement, which conveniently gives the priesthood a reason to exist. We need to wake up from this matrix of deception, and take the “red pill” of Yahushas Truth. AN ALAHIM OF SECOND-CHANCES We imagine death to be a point of no return, yet He told us He is not the Alahim of the dead, but the living. Deliverance was offered to those who died before the flood (1Pet. 3:19), and those who have not heard shall understand (Rom. 15:21). The ones who have died without hearing the Truth were overcome by tradition, but from the above texts we are assured they will hear. All are alive to Him, and His sovereignty is boundless. Even death cannot separate us from Yahusha’s love! (Romans 8:35-39) When we are immersed and pledge ourselves to His Covenant of kindness, our names are on the roles as citizens in His kingdom, and His blood redeems us completely. We are rescued from the “second death”, the lake of fire at the second resurrection (after the Millennium). FIRST RESURRECTION, WISE VIRGINS (The bride of Yahusha) As we progress in our relationship with Him, He may select us to be in the first resurrection, and given a “higher calling”, as the bride (wise virgins). They are ready, and are the “first-fruits”. At Yahusha’s return, those who are waiting for Him and holding to His testimony, and obeying the Commandments of Yahuah, will be among the first-fruits (see Rev. 12). They will go into the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. SECOND RESURRECTION: UNWISE VIRGINS Those in the second resurrection will never be the “bride”, but rather friends of the bride (unwise virgins). They will have missed the Wedding Supper by 1000 years. No one is “in heaven” except the One who descended (Yn. 3:13, Acts 2:34), but at Yahusha’s coming we will rise to meet Him and reign for 1000 years here on the Earth with Him (If we are among the first-fruits). If not, we will be raised at the end of the 1000 years, and those whose names are found in the scroll of life will receive their reward of eternal life - still here on the Earth (not in another location called “heaven”; that’s a pagan myth, which men have turned aside toward, 2 Tim 4:4). As we grow in walking with Him inside us, we become more and more like Yahusha, and He cleanses our minds and hearts from all the dross (men’s false teachings, old wine).
