IS THERE JUSTICE IN SAMOA? Watched TV3 News last night and there was a sad story about 3 men who assaulted a 50+yr old man and died. End of trial 1 was acquitted and the other 2 faced jail time for accidental death (manslaughter). Well they appealed their conviction and they won. The reasoning being they (assessors) couldnt decide whether the man was killed by the actual punch to the head or the stomping/kicking of the body when he fell or when he hit his head on some bricks on the ground. So the final decision was they ended up with the later. Resulting in no conviction. My question is, who is responsible for the LOSS OF LIFE here? Obviously now its not the 3 men who assaulted him. Well it must be the owner of the house who used bricks to build his house which killed this poor man. They must have had a great legal team to win such a case. Thoughts and prayers to the family of the man who died. If you believe in Karma then justice will prevail sometime when they least expect it.. Please correct me if I dont have all the facts. YOUR THOUGHTS... Footnote : Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual.
