IS2005277063 - María frá Reyðará Beautiful mare sired by sports fivegaiter Dropi frá Bjarnanesi. María is a very friendly and easy five gaited mare with great spirit that everybody with some experience can ride and enjoy. She is the perfect riding horse, forward, stoppable, unflappable and easy to do everything with. María’s temperament is great and her gaits are clear and easy to find. She comes with very good trot with much positive suspension, elastic movements and long strides, her gallop is very upwards, especially for a fivegaiter. She has nice tölt , no matter if working speed or fast tempo, and really good leg action. Her flying pace is easy to access, yet not so much trained, so has quite some potential to work on. María responds to light aids, is soft in the mouth and full of good energy. She could definitely be a material for a competitionhorse in classes for children or young riders as well as a perfect horse for pleasure riding. María’s father is Dropi frá Bjarnanesi, who amongst others took part in Landsmót Gæðingakeppni B-Class (four gait) with marks such as 8.08, and Fjórðungsmót Gæðingakeppni A-Class (five gait) with 8.11. Just a great sports stallion who also was evaluated with 8.5 for trot, 8 for tölt, gallop and spirit. Dropi’s father is the Ófeigur frá Flugumýri son Reykur frá Hoftúni (8.42), his mother Snælda frá Bjarnanesi, evaluated with 8.24 as a fourgaiter, and mother to such great horses as Klerkur and Komma frá Bjarnanesi.
