ISAF: NATO forces in Afghanistan: Although #ResoluteSupport is not a combat mission, the threat to both #Afghan and #NATO-led forces remains. We will work closely with Afghan partners to maximize the safety and security of Resolute Support forces. These forces will be prepared to defend themselves as provided for in the NATO Status of Forces Agreement and U.S. Bilateral Security Agreement. During Resolute Support, the scope of the mission and size of the force will change. As each phase of the mission ends, NATO allies and partners will redeploy troops and equipment.
